Assessment Matters Psychology

PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL CONSULTATION

As part of the services offered at Assessment Matters Psychology, clients (parents and/or the child) have the option of attending a Psycho-Educational Consultation following the assessment. This separate appointment is conducted face-to-face, via telehealth, or virtually and provides an opportunity for the psychologist to explain any diagnosis in detail, including how it specifically relates to the child or young person.

The consultation also includes practical strategies to assist parents and the child in understanding and managing identified areas of difficulty. Clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate for part of this consultation.

A 50% cancellation fee will apply unless at least 24-hour notice is provided.​​
